The final race of the 2025 International GT Open will see Alex Fontana back on the starting grid of the continental series dedicated to GT cars. The Autodromo Nazionale at Monza will in fact be hosting the second endurance round of the championship: a 500km race that will put teams and drivers to the test. After missing the previous two rounds, Alex will return to the track in the series that has seen him play a leading role over the last two years, winning his class on two occasions and playing a leading role every weekend.
For this the final chapter of the season, Alex will be joining forces with Tsunami RT. The San Marino-based team boasts years of experience in the world of GT racing, with numerous appearances in top-flight international series such as the GT Cup Europe and is now competing in its first full season in the International GT Open. Fontana will therefore once again be at the wheel of a Porsche 992 GT3 R, a car he knows inside out and with which he has achieved excellent results in this edition of the series, including an overall pole position at Portimao.
Alex will be paired with Bashar Mardini, with whom the Swiss driver has already shared the Car Collection Motorsport pit in this championship back in the 2024 season, albeit in two different crews. The two will be competing in the Pro-Am class, aiming for a significant result in the final race of the year, due to be held over the weekend of 17-19 October at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
