Let’s forget Austria and think about England

30/06/2014

I should think you know about what went on in Austria by now. My best ever GP3 qualifying result put me on the front row on the grid, then the race lasted 5 seconds. Hardly a start to remember, out on the first lap. This summarizes the race at the Red Bull Ring. I’d prefer not to discuss how I’m feeling. I’ll leave that to your imaginations. Fortunately I’m now able to focus on what for me should be considered as a second home race, the British Grand Prix. My Harry Potter-style new home in Kidlington is in fact just a few kilometres from the celebrated English circuit. It will be a very “British” weekend from all points of view. Beginning with the crowd, which is truly special here. Very warm, but also very well behaved. In short, we’ll be racing in front of 150,000 motorsport enthusiasts in a remarkable and unique setting. I’m feeling good about the car and I really like the very fast circuit. Well, I can only hope that things go smoothly for once.
