While at Brands Hatch I was always huddled in a sweatshirt and jacket, at the next round on the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet in Provence, shorts and T-shirts will be the order of the day.
That’s right, the FIA Formula Two Championship 2012 will be heading to the Paul Ricard track in France this weekend. It's a highly unusual circuit in that it was designed for testing cars rather than for racing as such. In effect, it has around 320 variants. Ours will be the longest and most attractive version, identical to that of the Le Mans Series with the exception of the chicane halfway along the back straight. I’ve never raced at Le Castellet and so it’s going to be a new challenge. Only for the first two laps though; on the third I’m determined to haul myself as high as possible up the grid. Firstly because I’m hungry for victories and secondly because I want to get under the skin of as many drivers as possible.
