From Russia with love

14/10/2014

In what was the very first Russian Grand Prix at Sochi we were protagonists, for better and for worse.

For better in that we showed well in qualifying and set the second fastest time, underlining the fact that recent performances have been up with the leading drivers in the series, and with the podium finish achieved in Race 1, along with a fight for fastest lap through to the end.

For worse in that we were rammed by a rival and shoved into the barriers together with another three cars at 180 kph at the start of Race 2. The video has been seen 70,000 times on YouTube, which I suppose could be considered as free publicity!

Joking aside, I’m pleased with my performance and I'm looking forward confidently to the last round of the season in Abu Dhabi. There are still thing to improve and I’ll be concentrating on them so as to arrive in the UAE stronger than ever.

Thanks for having followed me this far and for your messages after the accident which were most appreciated. Hopefully I’ll have some good news for you next week so stay tuned!
