Lotus Formula 1 Junior Team

15/02/2013

Dear friends, supporters and sponsors,

It is with great pleasure that I’m able to announce that I’ve joined the Lotus Formula 1 Junior Team, a management and support programme for young talents with their sights on the Formula 1 category.

I spent a fantastic week at Enstone in England, the home of the Lotus F1 team. Together with a further eight drivers of various ages and categories, we were first shown the team’s headquarters with its various assembly, engineering and aerodynamics departments, the titanium and carbon fibre workshops, the wind tunnel and so on. We were then subjected to a battery of medical examinations to assess our mental and physical fitness and we were asked to perform strength and stamina tests. All this to analyse whether we’ll be up to handling the car we’ll be driving this year and to assess whether we've got what it takes to drive a Formula 1 car. The Lotus Formula 1 Junior Team, through Gravity Sport Management (a company belong to the Genii Capital group that also own the Lotus F1 Team), provides for the handling of the careers of young drivers chosen from all categories and age groups. According to Lotus F1, the young drivers to watch for the future.

Of course, I’m very proud to have been chosen as the representative of one of the circus’s leading teams and this honour gives me great hope for my racing future. What not so long ago seemed a dream is slowly becoming reality: Formula 1 is our objective and step by step we’re getting there.
