The weekend of the 29/30 September will see the last round of the FIA Formula Two Championship, staged on the tricky Monza circuit.
The Formula 2 gladiators are back in the saddle at one of the motor sport world’s best-loved and most respected arenas. Monza can be both friend and foe, depending on her mood. Her sophisticated traps can catch out any driver, rookie or veteran, and stop him in his tracks. These traps go by the names Prima Variante, Biassono, Variante della Roggia, Lesmo 1 and Lesmo 2, Variante Ascari and Parabolica.
After my win in Race 1 at Budapest just a few weeks ago, with the happy memories of victory at Monza last year in Formula 3 and the joy of having so many fans, friends and sponsors (and this year they really will be out in numbers) at my side, I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and fight for every corner, every position, from the first lap to the last.
