The end of another chapter

Another chapter drew to a close last weekend at Monza. We competed in the last two races of the FIA Formula 2 Championship and I was happy to finish both in the points, with a ninth place in Race 1 and a sixth in Race 2.
It’s been a difficult championship, with some up and down results that have at times been hard to understand but at least I’ve always enjoyed myself. I’m delighted at how during the year, above all with respect to 2011, the number of friends and supporters who have been at my side has increased exponentially. What was even better was seeing the Swiss and Greek flags waved by a crowd of people over the two days of the Monza weekend. Thinking about it, for the record, there were around 200 fans present at Monza in 2011 while this year they numbered over 500.
I’d like to thank all of you who came out to cheer me on for this last race, despite the rain, true fans and trues friends. I hope you’ll forgive my sometimes rough and ready manners, but as is now well known, when I’m in "race mode” I have little time for anything else. I’d also like to invite you to keep reading the forthcoming newsletters and who knows, maybe you’ll have the chance to come and watch me again on an even bigger stage! In any case, I’ll be waiting for
