Alex Fontana to play the first match point in the fight for the Pro-Am title in the Fanatec GT Europe Endurance Cup at the Nürburgring

Together with Centri Porsche Ticino, Alex Fontana is preparing for the fourth round of season in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup. Scheduled for this weekend (29-30 July), the race will be held on the Nürburgring circuit. 


Along with his fellow nationals and teammates Ivan Jacoma and Niki Leutwiler, the Swiss driver could claim the Pro-Am class title with a race still to run, capitalizing on the first and second places in class obtained in the Le Castellet 1000 km and the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours respectively. 


At the moment, the trio with the Porsche 911 GT3 R 2023 number 24 is leading the standings with the 72 points, 35 ahead of its closest rival. In general, the performances seen to date have confirmed the promise shown by the all-Ticinese racing project which enjoys technical support from the Car Collection Motorsport structure. On the celebrated Eifel circuit, Fontana, Jacoma (general manager of Centri Porsche Ticino) and Leutwiler will be ready to play the first match point of the season. 


The Nürburgring 3 Hours weekend will officially get underway at 8:30 on the Saturday morning with Free Practice, followed by Pre-Qualifying at 12:25 PM. On the Sunday, the action will intensify with Qualifying beginning at 8:45 AM and divided into three segments (one for each driver), while the start of the race is scheduled for 2:45 PM.
