I’ll back on the track again at Valencia over the weekend of the 23rd – 24th of November, driving a car from the GP3 F1 feeder series in official winter group testing.
Last August I enjoyed a racing weekend in the category, substituting for another driver at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and immediately taking the car into the points with a sixth-place finish.
That was a great result in a category that each year features the 30 best young drivers from around the world, especially as it was my first appearance in the Dallara car powered by a turbocharged Renault engine producing 280 hp.
This time I’ll be driving for the French Tech 1 team. This is a young but very professional outfit and the point of the test will not only to be among the fastest, but also to evaluate my personal feeling regarding the team and the working environment we succeed in creating.
GP3 is certainly one of the categories, albeit not the only one, that we’re taking into serious consideration to take my career forwards. 2012, is still a long way off, however, and over the next few months we’ll be carefully weighing up all out options.
